Notable Accomplishments: Since being elected in 2000 Rhonda has updated the Recorder’s Office by installing new computer systems that receipts, scans and digitizes instruments. The records are available on-line and continue to be a free service to the public, attorneys, realtors, and bankers, which gives easy access to our records making it more convenient for everyone. Additional security measures were installed to protect the data. The latest in technology is being used for fee services, such as copying and faxing. All microfilm viewers and printers have been replaced. Since this is a fee office, no tax dollars are used for improvements
Future Plans: Rhonda is now working on a project to scan records back to 1986. As funds permit, instruments will be scanned back to 1972 to match the computerized Index system. A redaction project is ongoing to remove private information from older public documents. More computers will be made available in the search rooms as additional instruments are added to the data base.
