Resolution No. 90-21

    "Whereas, the Commissioners of Mercer County have been requested to establish a Commission for Women by the Women's Task Force, representing the diverse interests and background of women in Mercer County; and

    Whereas it is the Commissioners' intention that women citizens of Mercer County shall have full and equal opportunity to serve in every capacity and participate in all facets of community life; and

    Whereas, the Commission shall assess  the extent to which the needs of women and children are addressed; and

    Whereas, the Commission shall advocate for the rights of women in all areas and in all types of situations affecting women; and

    Whereas, the Commission shall act in advisory capacity to the Mercer County Commissioners.

    Now, therefore, we the Commissioners of Mercer County do hereby create and establish the

MERCER COUNTY COMMISSION FOR WOMEN

    Resolved, this 26th day of July, 1990."
