Responsibilities

  • Analyze and verify images and data of residential/agricultural properties to ensure that property records reflect current and accurate property characteristics.
  • List or update information on property records as needed.
  • Drive to property locations, getting in and out of vehicle. Physically walk around and examine all buildings to determine required property characteristics on various residential properties.

Qualifications

  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the real estate appraisal field.
  • High School graduate or equivalent work experience.
  • One-year residential data collection and property measurement experience preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to travel to properties in assigned project area for the majority of the workday and provide reliable transportation and carry full insurance on the vehicle driven to perform job.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills including attention to detail with the ability to capture and record accurate and comprehensive properties details.
  • Ability to work independently or collaborate with team members.
  • Spatial ability to read maps and locate a physical location on a map.

General Overview:

Correctional Officers will perform the direct supervision of inmates at the County Detention Facility according to laws, regulations, and policies of the State of Pennsylvania and Mercer County.  Officers will enforce the facility rules and maintain facility security.  Officers are responsible for the care, custody, and control of inmates at the facility.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Directly supervises inmates in the facility during all aspects of their incarceration such as housing, visitation, meals, medication distribution, searches, activities, work programs.

This is professional social service work with Mercer County Children and Youth Services. Caseworkers provide a full range of social and casework/management services to children, youth, and families to assist them in attaining a more satisfactory social, economic, emotional, or physical adjustment. An important aspect of this work is the employment of casework skills in obtaining essential information, counseling clients and members of their families, and helping them to utilize all available resources. Position Duties: (For Domestic Relations)

 

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive and employees possessing the skills within this class may be assigned to complete any task within the class. Other duties may be required based on the functional requirements of the PACSES system.

 

  • Act as the DRS’s primary source for the aggressive enforcement of all DRS bench warrants to include affecting arrests and transportation to the county jail/court/DRS
  • Act as DRS’s primary source for the timely execution of all DRS related personal service requests
  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date record of all DRS cases in which a bench warrant is outstanding
  • Takes all phone calls from defendants who find themselves subject to a bench warrant, advising those who must report or be placed in the Mercer County Jail (Judge's warrants from Court) and setting a time to come to the DRS so that a conference can be conducted for those subject to a DRS warrant for non-appearance at a conference or direct defendants to appropriate staff to accept purge payments if the warrant is related to a contempt hearing
  • When a Defendant who is the subject of a bench warrant is arrested on the warrant and transported to jail, or comes in as directed, or simply appears at the DRS, the defendant is interviewed in order to obtain information necessary to satisfy the pending support action. This duty includes: review of the plaintiff's most recent income information, review income information and employment status of the defendant. If the defendant is unemployed, determines if facts warrant placement into the DRS Work Search Program.
  • Takes all calls from any plaintiff in a case where the defendant has a bench warrant, making a NOTE in PACSES, answering all questions or following up on information provided by calling prospective employer or any other necessary investigative work
  • Takes all calls from local law enforcement departments, dispatch, E911, and jails when a defendant subject to a bench warrant is arrested. Confirms warrants on behalf of the DRS and coordinates transportation to the Mercer County Jail or makes arrangements with defendant for appearance at the DRS.
  • Works with Director and Assistant Director on any special projects involving multiple arrests or “sweeps” and coordinates activities with the Mercer County Sheriff's Department or local law enforcement and the Court
  • Provides Director with a monthly report of active warrants; those added; those vacated; and any defendant remaining in the Mercer County Jail
  • Tracks the work of the Mercer County Sheriff's Department in their work in either picking up defendants wanted on a bench warrant or facilitating their appearance in the DRS and provides a monthly report to the Director reporting the names of each client so that the Director can notify the Sheriff's Department confirming the names and then requisition for payment for each assist per the contract.
  • Tracks the work of the DRS contracted Constables in their work executing DRS bench warrants and completion of personal service requests and provides a monthly report along with related invoices of these activities to the Director
  • Diligently assist with locating obligors and alleged parents to include use of CLEAR, JNET and the investigation of leads provided by these sources as well as information provided by parties in a case or other DRS staff
  • Interviews parties in a case concerning income and extraordinary expenses, reviewing data including payroll, pay stubs, W-2 statements, tax returns and various other income documents. Calculates monthly incomes of each party for application on the established Supreme Court Guidelines.
  • Gathers all other pertinent information for determination of support obligations including medical care and coverage, child care expenses, other families and mortgage information (if applicable)
  • Maintains and submits any tracking/monitoring reports needed to measure performance or for statistical record management

  • Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:
  • Juris Doctor degree and is a member of the bar in good standing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Position Duties:

 

  • Evaluates evidence relative to propriety of criminal charges and search warrants
  • Advises police officers working in the field on charging decisions, drafting of criminal complaints, search warrants, statement of probable cause and investigations
  • Reads and analyzes discovery materials and legal precedents in preparing for cases, including determining strategy to be used in prosecuting the cases

Position Summary: 

 

This position is responsible for managing bridge projects and funding. This individual works independently using technical design skills to conduct or manage the development of plan sets and specifications for bridge repair, rehabilitation and/or reconstruction projects.  Related tasks include assembling permit application information, tabulating quantities, generating cost estimates, conducting engineering studies, developing reports, completing forms, writing special provisions and creating maps, tables, charts, etc.  During project construction, this individual reviews submissions, provides contract administration services and performs inspections.  General project instruction and oversight is provided by the department head / engineer and completed work is reviewed in accordance with standards. This individual will also assist with the federally required National Bridge Inspection Standard (NBIS) safety inspections of locally owned bridges across Mercer County.  This position provides supervision to bridge maintenance leaders and assistant bridge inspector / engineering technician; also coordinates tasks with administrative secretary.


Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of the principles and methods applied in safety inspections of existing bridge and culvert type structures including the techniques and procedures involved in the collection and evaluation of technical data.

 

  • Understanding of the various bridge components, their functions and the effects of deterioration to safely inspect and evaluate the structure.

 

  • Familiar and proficient with PennDOT standards, the properties of construction materials and their placement characteristics, and the use of CADD and other engineering software related to bridge design

 

  • Experience preparing technical plans and specifications for bridge project

 

  • Able to read and interpret surveys, mapping, deeds, design plans, construction plans, standards and specifications, etc.

 

  • Adept to climb structural steel with sufficient physical stamina and to work in adverse weather conditions and on hazardous terrain.

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Ability to perform bridge safety inspections to document the condition of in-service bridges.  Supervises bridge data compilation and measurement recording.  Inspect bridge structural members, foundation supports, and components in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards and PennDOT requirements.  Prepare documentation for submission to PennDOT and maintain all records required by the standards.

 

  • Schedules bridge safety inspections within federal and state timelines.

 

  • Travels to field sites to perform inspections.

 

  • Identifies critical changes to the condition of bridges such as accident damage, scouring and undermining, corrosion, and disintegration of concrete, to determine hazards to the public.

 

  • Coordinates the preparation of bridge inspection reports documenting findings regarding the current condition and deficiencies, including information such as measurements, photographs, sketches, and descriptions.

  • Read and interpret deeds, maps, photographs, blueprints, engineering data, sketches and other written and oral information related to bridge design.  Coordinate the proposed bridge design around the existing structure.  Determine and coordinate the process for required right-of-way and utility relocations.

 

  • Determine various design details related to bridge construction, for example, location and number of reinforcement bars, etc.  Prepare computations utilizing design software as required.

 

  • Prepare input spreadsheets and utilize industry software to perform load ratings for various legal loads and overweight permits.  Use these methods to assist in repair determinations and/or recommend restrictions.

 

  • Act as inspector-in-charge for projects and ensure that construction documentation adheres to established state and federal guidelines.  Responsible for assuring work is performed in conformity with the plans and specifications; for determining and documenting the quality and quantity of materials and work items; for as-built drawings; and for processing payment estimates, invoices and reimbursement requests.

 

  • Assist with development of county budgets for bridge department funds. 

 

  • Track expenditure reports related to project costs. 

 

  • Complete dotGrants project completion reports.

 

  • Performs other related tasks and duties as required or assigned.

 

Physical Requirements:
